About

The site doesn’t encourage people to be squishy, but rather to appreciate things that are so naturally.

It takes time putting together a monster:  The creative process typically starts out with about five cups of tea. After copious amounts of caffeine have been inhaled, monsters (instead of illegible scribbles) start appearing on the sheet of paper I’ve been staring at for hours. Each monster is carefully thought out; their personalities, lives, and eating  habits are all taken into account when it comes to their design.

I blame my background in biology for the need to analyze each monster’s appearance. It’s Squishology!

That’s what makes these creatures so unique; they look the way they do for a reason. The whole design process per monster (from paper to computer to print) can take up to a full week, but it is always worth it.

All monsters-their design and their stories-are created by Daniela Muhawi.
